Based out of Henderson, Nevada AR Iron, LLC is a custom fabricator specializing in ornamental wrought iron & powder coating. In 2006 Coast Industrial Systems, Inc. started the process of designing & installing a powder coating production line for AR Iron, LLC.

The production line was designed with an overhead power and free conveyor that tracks product through a washer, dry-off oven, powder booth and a cure oven with gas catalytic IR preheat/gel. This system can accommodate product up to 8’ tall & 20’ feet long, with the strength and capacity to hold product weighing up to 800lbs per carrier.

After product is placed onto the load bars, parts convey through a pretreatment wash phase (plaforization) and pass through the dry-off oven. Following the pretreatment process and drying, parts process through the powder booth where the product is coated with reciprocated automatic applicators. Any areas left uncoated are then touched up with manually operated powder guns. Any unused powder is collected by a cyclone extraction system installed for powder reclaim. Once coating has been completed the part enters the gas catalytic preheat oven, this gels the powder prior to entry to the cure oven, allowing for higher velocity air-flow and a more effective cure.

This production line is controlled by a PLC control panel allowing for web based access and remote control. Variable Frequency Drives allow the system to operate at half the rated amperage for configured horsepower, a considerable savings in power for AR Iron, LLC.
